Spring is here
i’m originally from wisconsin and although i don’t miss the extremes in the weather, i do miss a winter with snow and cold. the reason why isn’t so much about winter - it is to be able to see the snow melt and to watch the environment around you change from being completely dormant to green and alive. you get to see shoots of grass coming up through the last bits of snow. to watch the dirty dingy remnants of the tail end of winter make way for a complete transformation. and after living in that extreme cold white climate with weeks of grey sky - to watch it gives one great appreciation for spring and new beginnings.
my april newsletter, “the monkey and the frog”, will be about cleansing. so keep your eyes open for the that one, but in the meantime start to think about what spring means to you. start to contemplate cleansing and new beginnings.
spring is waking up a bit earlier and enjoying a walk in the brisk air.
spring is spreading a blanket in the back yard and having a picnic.
spring is cleaning the house and washing the blankets.
spring is seedlings sprouting up in the garden.
spring is babies everywhere.
spring is love!
quote:
the splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of it’s simple charm. if every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose it’s loveliness.
